We have learned that Joe Blakley passed away on March 28 in Kingsport.

Joe was a devoted UT football and basketball fan and a loyal DB Indian football fan. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his and Judy’s two children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11:00am at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50am.
